Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 88
The 2016 Bournac is quite attractive. Ripe black cherry, tobacco, cedar, smoke and incense meld around a core of dark fruit in this fleshy, voluptuous Medoc. Drink it over the next few years.
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2023
Neal Martin 86
The 2016 Bournac feels simple and predictable on the nose. The palate is balanced with chewy tannin, moderate depth with a slightly stunted finish that will hopefully gain more persistence with bottle age. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2027
James Suckling 91
A generous and rather supple wine for the basic Medoc appellation with a ton of blackberries and modest tannins. Soft finish. Easy to enjoy right now.
