Antonio Galloni 90

The 2022 Le Volte dell Ornellaia is a tasty Sangiovese-based blend. Crushed flowers, plum, cinnamon, leather and spice are front and center. Plump and inviting, with lovely forward fruit, Le Volte is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. [Antonio Galloni, 01/12/2025]

Wine Advocate 92

This is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. In this hot vintage, the Merlot was slightly reduced. The Ornellaia 2022 Le Volte dell’Ornellaia remains a plush and accessible Tuscan red. Harvest time saw lower yields on average, with smaller berries and greater fruit concentration. This wine matures in used oak passed down from the top-shelf wines. There is blackberry and dark cherry with sweet spice. [Monica Larner, 13/02/2025]

James Suckling 93

Very aromatic, with raspberry, orange peel and floral aromas. Nice transparency. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a crisp, crunchy finish. Drinkable now, but better from 2026. [James Suckling, 27/04/2024]
