Bottled in May this year with 8% stated alcohol, the 2021 Niederberg Helden Kabinett is clear, bright and flinty on the intense nose. Crystalline, lush and dense on the palate, this is a textured Kabinett with sharp but imbedded acidity. This is a very young but promising Riesling with roughly 40 grams per liter of residual sugar that give texture and roundness yet not really a sweet taste due to the pungent mineral acidity. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. [25/08/2022]
