Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91+
Thomas Haag’s 2021 Juffer is an off-dry (feinherb) Riesling that offers a pure and delicately flinty, still nicely reductive bouquet with iodine notes. On the palate, this is a round and lush, very elegant and finely salty Juffer with a stimulating fresh and lemon-bitter finish. The wine tastes almost dry, but it’s round and almost charming. It’s still young and not developed enough to cause the highest pleasures, so even a couple of months of aging would be helpful. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.
Anticipated maturity: 2027-2050
