Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris 93-95
Not one of the deeper colours but with a sturdy fruit on the bouquet. Very well balanced on the palate, with a little firmness at the back. The old vines provide the weight that is needed. This will need time, but is a good example of optimising the vintage
Anticipated maturity: 2027-2035
Vinous 90-92
The 2021 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a largely perfumed bouquet with black plum, raspberry and earthy notes, though I am seeking just a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. A bit of wood needs to be eaten up. It has fine depth, though it does not possess the complexity of the 2020 on the finish. However, it should still give 15-odd years of pleasure.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2040
