Tasting Notes
Vinous 92
The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly 1er Cru is much more Zen-like, backward on the nose that does not want to come out and play, yet there is clearly coiled-up intensity here and it just needs some bottle age. The palate is well-balanced with a fine spine of acidity thanks to the limestone soil, a little chalkiness coming through on the focused finish. Very fine.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2040
Robert Parker 94
The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Tournant de Pouilly is performing well, exhibiting aromas of pear, mandarin oil, hazelnuts, freshly baked bread and iodine, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that’s satiny and layered, with lively acids and an elegantly muscular profile.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2050
