Wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, dark berry fruit, licorice, incense, exotic spices and loamy soil, the 2020 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of fruit that’s framed by a muscular chassis of rich, powdery tannins. This is potentially the domaine’s most profound wine this year, as is often the case, but it will also require the most patience.
