Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 89
The 2020 Marjosse is a deep, flavorful wine. Black cherry, leather, spice, tobacco, leather and grilled herbs give this hearty Bordeaux a good deal of savory and earthy character to match its midweight personality.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2035

The 2020 Marjosse sports a nicely defined nose of blackberry, undergrowth and light mushroom-like aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a crisp line of acidity and a precise, focused finish. There is pleasing salinity here, and it feels tender from start to finish. Promising.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2031
Wine Advocate 92
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Marjosse comes barreling out of the glass with rambunctious scents of cassis, crushed blackberries and black plum preserves, followed by hints of dark chocolate, anise and tar, plus a fragrant waft of lavender. The medium-bodied palate is soft, juicy and wonderfully refreshing, delivering wonderful poise and expression with a fun burst of pure black fruit on the finish. Delicious!
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2040
The Wine Independent 94
Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Marjosse Rouge needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of cast-iron pan, crushed rocks, and dusty soil over a core of red plums, blackberry preserves, and mulberries, plus a hint of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly knit with fine-grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the nuanced black and red fruits, finishing long and minerally.
Anticipated maturity: 2026-2040
