Tasting Notes
Wine Advocate 85-87
"The 2016 Bourgogne Rouge is matured in one-year-old barrels and offers attractive raspberry and crushed strawberry scents, subtle undergrowth scents percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with quite noticeable new oak: dark berry fruit laced with undergrowth. I would just like to see more a oePinote"" come through on the finish."

One-year-old oak. Rich, peppery and quite dark fruited. Very chewy tannins but with juice and freshness at the core. Needs time. Honest and full flavoured. A tannic wine but still in balance in that style. (JH)
Anticipated maturity: 2020-2024
