The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a full-bodied expression with cherry, blackberry and spice that rise with determination from the glass. This vintage shows a ripe quality to the fruit that is transmitted with pulses of dried fig, cured meat, smoked ham and teriyaki. You might identify a touch of curry leaf and saffron that add an exotic twist. My suspicion is that the wine shows a distant touch of brett that could worsen with time. For this reason I am moving the drinking window forward and am showing caution in my score.
