Vinous 95

A dramatic wine, the 2010 Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe hits the palate with seemingly never-ending array of aromas, flavors and textures. Dark-fleshed stone fruits, graphite, smoke, licorice and tar are some of the many nuances that emerge as the 2010 continues to take shape in the glass. This big, strapping Barolo is likely to require a good bit of patience. As it often does, the San Giuseppe shows the more brooding side of Nebbiolo. [Antonio Galloni, 01/11/2015]
