I tried this several times recently, and in short, this is one of the very best values I’ve tried from Bordeaux in years. It has all the supple fruit of the best 2019s, which makes it almost accessible now. Give it another couple of years and drink it over the next 25. There’s also plenty of structure as you would expect from a St Estephe but the tannins are very fine. Two of us actually didn't have any problem finishing the bottle!
This punches well above its pricetag, and I think Neal Martin has it bang on. I cannot recommend this highly enough – I bought 10 cases myself and will be stashing them in storage for future consumption. It's the perfect Sunday lunch wine!
In all honesty, at £20 a bottle IB this is one to load up on in volume. Your family & friends will thank you for it in future years.
